The Project +49 157 362 961 96 is an interactive installation operating within the complex environment of telematic and mobile communication, at the intersection of generative art, e-literature, and kinetic sound sculpture.

A text message sent to the given number initiates data processing, while custom software and plotter hardware transform each SMS into a line of manuscript. The plotter’s movements imitate human handwriting, yet the content is genuine — the voluntary input of participants. The collaboratively created text reflects a random stream of messages, exposing the subtle process of shaping raw thought into coherent language.

As it writes, the plotter emits sounds reminiscent of computer-mediated communication (CMC). Within these digital constraints, the work evokes a form of collective intelligence shared between human and algorithmic agents. Though it recalls early cyberart experiments, it offers a contemporary perspective grounded in critical engineering and creative process analysis.
